The main focus of this position will be to sell Personal Lines of Property & Casualty Insurance via direct (inbound and outbound) telephone contact to prospects by utilizing company provided warm leads.  This is a key role to drive revenue and grow the organization.  And, it is a great opportunity to be an integral part of a successful and rapidly growing sales team within a national insurance agency that is committed to helping families and individuals protect their homes, automobiles, and other valuable assets.  

 

The position requires either previous experience, insurance knowledge or the desire to learn the personal lines property and casualty insurance industry.  Excellent communication skills, persuasive phone skills, relationship building, presentation skills and the ability to sell conceptual services to decision makers is strongly desired.  Additionally, this position requires exceptional listening and questioning skills, and proven effectiveness to establish first contact interest via calling company generated warm leads.

 

Essential job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Extensive Phone Sales: (Inbound & Outbound)
    • Phone prospecting with company provided warm leads (outbound calls)
    • Phone prospecting with company provided warm transfers (inbound calls)
    • Interact with prospects to build rapport, gather information and input into rating systems to generate quotes
    • Present quotes to prospects, consult on coverage needs, conduct “one call close” process and document results/follow ups needed into Agency Management System
    • Incorporate a variety of sales techniques into phone communications with the ability to multi-task and handle competing priorities in a fast paced environment
    • Achieve production goals while working with a variety of tools and applications such as comparative raters, insurance carrier systems, CRM and agency management systems
  • Attend, support, participate in and/or conduct educational classes, training, seminars, industry conferences and carrier meetings as requested by the President and/or Senior Management team members

 

Requirements:

  • Property & Casualty personal lines license (or ability to obtain within first two weeks of employment)
  • Associates/Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills required.
  • Must be highly organized, have the ability to multi-task, prioritize and follow through to completion in timely fashion within a fast paced production environment.
