We seek a full-time Agile Product Development Manager to lead our Agile SDLC transformation focusing on mission critical enterprise applications.  This position oversees a team of about 8 individuals and will work in a highly matrixed organization. This position is accountable for leading and coaching a team through the implementation of enterprise Agile software development and continually improving the team performance in an Agile environment. 


  • Implement an Agile software development environment that promotes learning and enables resources to resolve and remove their own obstacles
  • Coach teams and individuals with their understanding of Agile Methodologies and Agile Practices
  • Employ an Agile leadership style focusing on independence and developing skill
  • Facilitate sprint retrospectives, project conflict resolution and independent decision making
  • Design and implement practices to assist with incremental delivery and continuous integration
  • Provide technical oversight, direction, and mentoring to a team of application developers
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders and others. Manage client/end-user expectations.
  • Work closely with the IT infrastructure team to recommend, establish, and follow policies on system use and services
  • Plan, releases and schedule development of enterprise software
  • Manage application support in an Agile software development framework
  • Develop productivity and service metrics to measure the team’s performance and effectiveness; recommend and implement processes to improve performance
  • Identify and devise ways to improve the SDLC process across the organization, delivery capabilities, and make the application delivery organization more effective
  • Assist direct reports with career growth and personal development
  • Assist with recruitment of direct line reports
  • Maintain compliance with all technical standards and regulatory requirements
  • Review application change plans
  • Track change ticket initiation, approval and quality, process compliance
  • Ensure successful change implementation
  • Track and report progress of projects against key milestones
  • Ensure on-time and high-quality delivery of the projects
  • Coordinate projects that span multiple teams

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of years of experience software development experience
  • 3+ years’ experience managing development teams of 8+ developers, including remote and off-shore developers
  • 3+ years’ experience and advanced knowledge of enterprise Agile software development methodology and techniques
  • BS in Computer Science or related field
  • Strong SQL and C# skills. Comprehensive experience in web technologies e.g. ASP.NET, Angular JS, Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS3, MVC and Entity Framework, JSON, LINQ, WCF, WPF, WinForms, REST, JavaScript
  • Prior experience with MS Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server, Visual Studio Online
  • Experience with CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery) practices is highly desired
  • Experience in Azure cloud development
  • Experience in managing both onshore and offshore development resources
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire team members
  • Prior experience in people management, i.e. recruitment, coaching, professional development, performance management
  • Ability to define individual and team performance objectives and development plans, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives
  • Advanced knowledge of business management concepts, practices, and techniques
