SENIOR SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT

NRT LLC seeks Director of Solutions & Enterprise Architecture. This position requires a strong technical background coupled with strategic business acumen to lead NRT through the complete development lifecycle of services, products and architectures., as well as, the development of enterprise application frameworks.  Additional key responsibilities include the identification and analysis of enterprise business drivers to develop Architecture requirements – the scope of which includes the analysis of the technology industry and market trends to determines potential impact upon the enterprise. 

 

This is a director level position which is both hands-on (tactical) and strategic.  Working as technical architect with various development, data, security and infrastructure teams - to develop enterprise frameworks and solutions.  As well as, working as an enterprise level visionary – defining the plans and IT frameworks to define and drive our roadmaps in the cloud, data and service oriented spaces.  S/he will develop peer relationships that build on positive and open interaction, and establish the department as a focal point for leading the technology and change effort.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Establish a comprehensive NRT architecture platform that achieves consolidation of redundant enterprise architect capabilities, modernizes and unifies the technology stack, and lays the foundation for a transformation to a digital (cloud) delivery-based enterprise.  Verification of the overall architecture and representation of the architecture to business stakeholders is a critical responsibility.
  • Define the architecture operating model within NRT. Support the creation of the overall architectural model and key development teams. Partner with business stakeholders to address emerging needs. 
  • Define and participate in the overall technology governance processes to ensure continuing alignment of development and acquisition activities to technology and business strategy.
  • Leadership & management responsibilities for a cross-functional team of technologists & architects - including mentoring and professional development, goal setting and performance management.  Mentor and coach other technical staff members.
  • Partner with the Realogy organization to ensure that the technology architectures created for NRT’s transformation program are realized and delivered to internal and external customers on time with high quality.

     

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Science discipline; Master’s Degree preferred
  • 10+ years of application development and experience designing, integrating, and managing complex IT Architectures with a focus on service orientation and cloud platforms
  • 3-5 years of experience building Solutions Architecture roadmaps & solutions
  • Strong working knowledge and solution development across all IT Architectural domains (i.e., application, security, infrastructure, performance)
  • Proven ability to execute the enterprise architect architecture roadmap and vision
  • Strong leadership and negotiation skills with business and technical groups
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong project management and organization skills
  • Demonstrated technology skills across business, applications, data, and infrastructure architecture domains, and experiences in development lifecycle management
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and willing to challenge conventional wisdom and take principled bets on new technology
  • Ability to establish, implement, and enforce appropriate IT standards to meet business requirements
  • Strong technical background in modern architectural frameworks (e.g., SOA/Cloud)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of hardware, software, application, and systems engineering
  • Strong working knowledge of major Architectural frameworks, application development platforms/languages and off-the-shelf packages – (Microsoft .NET preferred)
  • Prior experience working with major relational database environments like Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, as well as, basic data architecture principals
  • Experience managing across a matrix organization
